The Dictionary of Sydney was archived in 2021.

Albemarle

Built as a transport for the French Army, it was captured by the British and became a merchant ship in the East India Company before carrying over 280 convicts to the colony in 1791. Two convicts were executed for an attempted mutiny on the voyage. In 1793 it was captured by a French privateer.
