Wife one of the first judges and chairmen of Quarter Sessions, Thomas Callaghan, Eliza Callaghan managed her husband's properties after his sudden death in 1863, building one of the key heritage sites in Randwick - Corana and Hygeia. She died at the age of 93, 'the tapping of her stick being a familiar sound in Randwick'.
