Meredith Lake is a professional historian, broadcaster and writer with a particular interest in religion. Her book The Bible in Australia won the Australian History prize at the 2019 Prime Minister's Literary Awards, and the 2019 NSW Premier's History awards. It was also named CHASS Book of the year, & 2018 Australian Christian Book of the Year. She is also the author of  Faith in Action: HammondCare, a history of the independent Christian charity that developed from Rev RBS Hammond's ministries to the poor of Sydney.
