Frank Moorhouse is one of Australia's most eminent writers and one of the first recipients of the Australian Artists Creative ('Keating') Fellowship for distinguished and established writers. In l999 he undertook the inaugural writer's residency at Kings College, Cambridge, where he completed Dark Palace, the sequel to his previous novel, Grand Days. The third, prize winning novel of this trilogy, Cold Light, was published by Random House Australia in 2011.
