Australian Hall

Hall located at 150-52 Elizabeth Street used as a club and meeting place by a range of groups. In 1938 it was the venue for the 1938 Day of Mourning by the Aborigines Progressive Association.

One of the few European buildings recognised as an Aboriginal heritage site, the Australian Hall was conserved because of its importance as the site for the 1938 Day of Mourning.
