Creator

English migrant to Van Dieman's Land who documented the journey with his family between 29 June 1832 and 22 September 1833. The journal contains an explanation of his family's decision to emigrate to Van Diemen's Land, detailed descriptions of the voyage out, his impressions of the colony and meetings with prominent people and concludes with a description of the voyage back to England and recollections of the family's experiences in the colony.
