Circus

Circus has been part of Sydney's entertainment since the 1840s and hardly a year has passed since then without a circus in town. Sydney performers have gone on to international careers in the arena and have returned triumphant, and circus skills and acts became part of the city's thriving vaudeville and theatre scene.

Newspaper published by various publishers between 1853 and 1894. Between 1872 and 1881 it was called the 'The Illustrated Sydney news and New South Wales agriculturist & grazier'.
