The Dictionary of Sydney was archived in 2021.
Refreshment rooms and 72 huts which were established at Yarra Bay by George Howes and William Rose at the picnic venue for visitors and social club outings. The huts were built as accommodation for campers and fishermen and during the Depression years became the homes of many unemployed. All were demolished in the 1960s.
