Blondin cooking on the tightrope c1874
French tightrope walker Chevalier Blondin had crossed Niagara Falls on a wire in 1859 to international acclaim. At least two other funambulists styled themselves 'The Australian Blondin' after this, and after Blondin's visit to Australia in 1874 several more also claimed the title, including Henri L'Estrange.
