Wurrgan
Wurrgan, or Worogan, was an Aboriginal woman who lived close to the first settlement. One of the sisters of Bennelong, she was married to Euranabie (Yeranibe). Both spoke English, and the couple sailed down the south coast to Jervis Bay and Bass Strait with James Grant on the Lady Nelson in 1801, acting as advisers, interpreters and liaison with other Aboriginal people met on the voyage.
