Shark net installed across Parsley Bay in 1930 to create the Parsley Bay swimming enclosure. Installation was completed on 24 December 1930, and the net was periodically repaired and replaced after this. The structure was replaced by Woollahra Council in 1982 with a floating net that is removed every winter for maintenance.
