PBL Ltd was formed from the merger of Australian Consolidated Press and the Nine Network in 1994. In 2007 it split into two divisions, Crown Limited (a gaming and casino company) and media company Consolidated Media Holdings. In 2010 Consolidated Media Holdings was rebranded as the Nine Entertainment Company.
