Queen Victoria Club

A women's organisation aligned politically to the liberal party of New South Wales. The league sprang directly from the suffrage movement and had a distinctly feminist agenda. It was formed during a meeting at the home of Hilma Molyneux Parkes in 1902, and resolved 'to cultivate the spirit of true liberalism, to raise the standards of public life and to improve the position of women in all spheres of life'.
