Sydney Loyal Association

One of two volunteer corps of 50 men formed in 1800 to assist British troops and reformed in 1803 as a part time militia, taking part in suppressing the Irish convict rebellion in 1804 before being disbanded in 1810 by Governor Macquarie. The other corps was the Parramatta Loyal Association.
