Agars, Thomas
Merchant, publican and local politician who established a Farm Servants' Registry for country clients at his import store in Kent Street north. He exported beef to London in the 1840s and in 1842 was a member of the jury in the trial of the Norfolk Island murders. He was elected as the member for Gipps in the Sydney City Council and also a member of the Committee of Public Works and the Finance Committee.
