Dight, John
Surgeon and free settler who migrated to New South Wales in 1801 with his wife Hannah and baby daughter , their first of many children. The family settled in the Hawkesbury region at Richmond. After their first house was washed away in the 1806 floods, they built Mountain View. Dight was appointed Coroner of the district in 1828 and remained so until his death in 1857.
