Lambert, Hugh Robert
Engineering student who enlisted as a Lance Corporal Driver and was sent to Rouen, France in July 1915. He was reprimanded for absence without leave and then for 'making a fake statement to an officer whilst giving evidence'. In October 1916, he faced a court martial for 'conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline...having a lighted lamp...when same was loaded with ammunition'. He forfeited 19 days' pay as punishment.
