Simmons, Michael (Mick)
Businessman who started business as a cigar maker and tobacconist on George and Sussex streets in the 1880s. By 1895, his shop on George and Campbell streets had become one of the largest tobacco and fancy goods businesses in the city. His business expanded to include hunting and fishing equipment, and after his death, sports equipment and apparel were added to the range.
