House built by Theodore Gurney and later sold to AE Dalwood who donated it to the Food for Babies Fund. It was later used as a children's home and hospital.

Balgowlah

North-eastern harbourside residential suburb, which remained semi-rural into the 1920s. It became more developed after the opening of the Spit Bridge and improvements to the tram service.

Residential suburb on the northern shore of Middle Harbour, west of the Spit Bridge. It was subdivided in 1906.
