Densely populated and highly multicultural inner western residential suburb. Early landholder Robert Campbell's father William was the laird of Ashfield in Scotland.

Dobroyde Estate

Farm estate in present-day Haberfield, bequeathed to his daughter by Simeon Lord as part of her dowry. It was subdivided several times from 1860.

Inner western residential suburb. Planned by real estate agent Richard Stanton as a 'model suburb' at the end of the nineteenth century, it retains much of its Federation architecture.
