Pymble

Granted to Robert Pymble, a free settler from Hertfordshire, the area which was to become Pymble was farmland and orchards for most of the nineteenth century. Development followed the railway line, and Pymble became a desirable leafy suburb.

Residential building

Pymble

Northern residential suburb named after free settler Robert Pymble (1788–1861) who acquired a land grant in 1823. Subdivision began in the early 1880s in anticipation of the building of the north shore railway line in 1890.
