Empire theatre

Theatre in Quay Street Haymarket which showed live theatre for only two years before converting to a cinema. In 1948 demand saw it reopen for variety and musical shows which continued until it was destroyed by fire in 1970. The map shows the former site......

Her Majesty's Theatre Haymarket

Theatre in Quay Street Haymarket. Originally known as the Empire Theatre its name was changed to Her Majesty's in 1960 after renovations. It burned down in 1970 and was replaced in 1973 by a smaller theatre with the same name. This was subsequently demolished and replaced by an apartment building.
