Royal Easter Show

Sydney's Royal Easter Show is the nation's largest annual event, currently attracting more than 900,000 visitors to its site at Homebush Bay. For generations, the Show has brought 'the country to the city', and continues to be important, especially for children, in Sydney's cultural life.

Large area of parklands in inner south-east, also the location of the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium, and the former showgrounds, now an entertainment precinct.

Sydney Showground Moore Park

Venue for the Royal Easter Show, run by the Royal Agricultural Society, from 1882 until 1997. The grounds incorporated a range of pavilions, sporting venues, animal quarters and judging rings, and in the twentieth century hosted other events such as sporting competitions and musical performances.
