Cameron, Michaela Ann

Michaela Ann Cameron is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of Sydney specialising in the sensory history of colonial America, specifically Indigenous auditory cultures. Additional research interests include Australia's convict history. Western suburb built on the land of the Burramattagal people. Sydney's second European settlement, it began as a government farm in 1788 and has many heritage listed sites. It is now the commercial hub of Greater Western Sydney.

Travellers' Rest Inn Parramatta

Georgian building at 16 O'Connell Street, on the corner of Hunter Street Parramatta. Erected as an inn it served many purposes over the centuries including use as a hostel for homeless men by the 1890s. With the two buildings at 12 and 14 O'Connell Street, it forms the Travellers Rest Inn Group.
