Inner-west residential suburb on the ridge between Newtown and Marrickville. Its name comes from Enmore House (1835), designed by John Verge for master mariner Captain Sylvester Brown.

Enmore's traditional owners were the Cadigal people. Convicts who became millionaires, retired sea captains, merchants, judges, bushrangers and rock music have all contributed to Enmore's colourful history.
