Parliamentary Select Committee Inquiry into New South Wales Aborigines Protection Board 1937
Inquiry set up by the Legislative Assembly into the workings of the Aborigines Protection Board. In 1936 the Aborigines Protection Amendment Act had extended the board's powers to have complete control over every Aboriginal person in New South Wales. The resulting political agitation by the Aboriginal community and this inquiry saw the board reconstituted in 1940.
