Arnot, Jean Fleming

Jean Arnot was a librarian and activist for women's rights. She spent her career at the Public Library of New South Wales (1921-1968) and held various offices in the Australian Institute of Librarians (later the Library Association of Australia), the National Council of Women, the Business and Professional Wonen's Club of Sydney, the Australian Federation of Business and Professional Women, the League of Women Voters, and similar organisations. She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empuire (MBE) in 1965.
