Bryant, William

Convict who was tried at Launceston, Cornwall on 20 March 1784 for fraud (impersonation) and sentenced to death which was then commuted to seven years' transportation to New South Wales. He later escaped the colony with his wife, Mary, two children and seven other convicts.
