Cotton, Frank Stanley

Lecturer in physiology who specialised in the study of the effects of physical strain on the human body. He invented the aerodynamic anti-gravity suit, the 'Cotton aerodynamic anti-G flying suit' during World War II, which prevented pilots from blacking out at high speed. With Forbes Carlile, he also established the first sports science laboratory in Australia.
