Schatkowski, Militan

Sailor who lived in Newcastle, New South Wales before he enlisted in 1914. After the war and while still in England he adopted his wife's name citing in a statutory declaration that: 'I am desirous that my name should be changed in all records to Militian Oldham, it being my intention to marry a natural born English subject and I desire to have an English name'.
