Bankstown local government area

Area in Sydney's south-west, part of the traditional lands of the Gweagal and Bidjigal peoples, formerly governed by Bankstown City Council until being merged with Canterbury in 2016. It had a long industrial heritage and was a centre of Sydney's Lebanese community.
