Balmoral Beach

The harbour beach faces north east and is sheltered from ocean swell by Middle Head. The entire beach is listed on the Register of the National Estate as the 'Balmoral Beach Conservation Area'.

A coastal beach between the Meeries Reef and Blackwoods Beach about 4 kilometres south west of Kurnell. Thought to be a corruption of carranulla - native word for the myriad of tiny pink shells on the beach.

Named after a house on the eastern side of the Manly approach to the Spit Bridge, Undercliffe Beach no longer exists, having been reclaimed as part of the construction of the electric tramway from The Spit to Manly in 1910.
