Oil painting by Sydney Long of boys swimming at the junction of the Cooks River and Wolli Creek. It is held in Art Gallery of New South Wales and reproduced on the Dictionary of Sydney courtesy of the Ophthalmic Research Institute of Australia.

Edge of the Trees

Sculpture by Janet Laurence and Fiona Foley of a forest of 29 poles outside the Museum of Sydney symbolising the interaction between Aboriginal and non Aboriginal people. They represent the 29 Aboriginal clans of Sydney and are inscribed with words from Aboriginal languages whilst Koori voices can be heard reciting the names of places which have disappeared from the Sydney region.

Public artwork which celebrates the rich convict history of the old Hospital Precinct and its surrounds at Parramatta.by representing the colonial-era convict huts that were erected on the boundaries of the site.

Temporary public artwork created by American artist Jeff Koons that was exhibited in the forecourt of the Museum of Contemporary Art at Circular Quay from 12 December 1995 until 17 March 1996. A 12.4 metre high structure in the shape of a terrier that was then filled with soil and flowering plants, it was the tenth work supported by Kaldor Public Art Projects.

Tankstream - into the head of the Cove...

Public artwork by Lynne Roberts-Goodwin that traces the path of the Tank Stream through the city in five separate sites between Pitt Street Mall and Alfred Street through the installation of blue glass rods into the paving. Commissioned by the City of Sydney and installed in 1999.

The Satyr

Sculpture by Guy (Frank) Lynch which was modelled on his younger brother, Joe Lynch, and a neighbourhood goat. Sculpted in plaster, the sculpture was painted bronze and exhibited to general acclaim in the Anthony Hordern Gallery in 1924 . It was purchased by the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 1926. Joe Lynch drowned in the harbour in 1927. In 1977, ten years after the artist's death, his widow paid for the work to be case in bronze and it was placed in the Botanic Gardens near the Opera House Gate, looking out towards the harbour where his brother had drowned.

Vase made Sevres Imperial Manufactory in 1869 which was one of a pair sent by France to be exhibited in the 1879 Sydney International Exhibition with many other decorative items to demonstrate France's rich cultural heritage. It was presented afterward by the Commissary-General A Mathieu "on behalf of the French Republic, to the City Corporation of Sydney, C J Roberts, Mayor 1879" in gratitude for the exhibition and with "the full appreciation my countrymen have of the energy and freedom of the inhabitants of Australia, freedom extended to all, whatever may be their origin."

Wrapped Coast – One Million Square Feet

Artwork created in 1969 by artists Jeanne Claude and Christo, who wrapped a 2.5km portion of the coast of Little Bay in fabric and rope. The largest artwork every made, it was the first of their large scale environmental public artworks and the first work supported by Kaldor Public Art Projects.

Mosaic by artist Brenda L Croft set into the path at Farm Cove which commemorates historical and contemporary presence of local Indigenous people who travelled great distances to attend ceremonies here. The figures depict Sydney rock carvings.
