Sydney Wharf Labourers' Union
Founded in 1872, it was to become the Waterside Workers Federation in 1902 which then merged with the Seamen's Union of Australia to form the Maritime Unions of Australia in 1993.

Royal South Sydney Hospital
Hospital established at Zetland in 1912 with 25 beds. It began to specialise in rehabilitation, orthopaedics and community health and merged with Prince of Wales and Prince Henry hospitals in 1991. It closed in 1993.
Sydney Meat Preserving Works
Company established by pastoralists at Auburn in 1869 to process and can excess meat for sale. Stockyards, slaughtering, butchering, preserving and boiling down were all performed on site. It ceased operations in 1964.
