Endangered eucalypt forest bioregion that occurs along the extensive riverbanks and floodplains of the Cumberland Plain, particularly along the Hawkesbury-Nepean river system. It is part of the River-flat eucalypt forest on coastal floodplains of the NSW North Coast, Sydney Basin and South East Corner bioregions. In 2019 a new, more encompassing name for the ecological community, 'Coastal floodplain eucalypt forest of eastern Australia' was suggested by the scientific community.
