Victorian Gothic style hall on Arthur Street, Surry Hills that was constructed in the 1880s for the former St David's Anglican church. In August 1925 it hosted the Australian Aboriginal Progressive Association conference, considered to be the first civil rights convention of Aboriginal people. On September 16,1956, Channel 9 broadcast the first Australian television program from the hall, one of the two locations used on the night.
