Marlo Creek is a tributary of the higher Macdonald River. The name is an Anglicisation of the traditional Aboriginal name 'Malu', meaning storm, thunder or lightning. When thunder rolled across Country, Aboriginal people heard the deep, roaring voice of the Ancestral being Daramulan.
