Archdale, Helen Elizabeth (Betty)

English feminist, academic and cricketer who migrated to Australia in 1946 as the principal of Sydney University's Women's College and from 1958-1970 of Abbotsleigh girls school. As the captain of the England women's cricket team she led the first – and victorious – tour of Australia in 1934.
