Northern residential suburb, surrounded on three sides by bushland. Formerly farmland, it was developed for housing in the 1950s and 1960s and became a separate suburb in 1995.
Dharug country that became part of the Field of Mars, North Epping was sold for orchards, nurseries and poultry farms in 1898, and only became suburban and residential after World War II.
