Mercury (Brig)
Colonial whaling and sealing ship that arrived in Sydney from London in 1822. The brig was wrecked in Whangaroa, New Zealand in March 1825 after being captured and plundered by Māori. The ship's captain, John Edwards, returned to Sydney with other survivors.
