Library constructed in four stages between 1967 and 1978 in the Brutalist style. A new library was opened on a different site on campus in 2011. The old library building is a multi-use learning space

Macquarie Wall

Convict era sandstone wall in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Walls were built to Governor's Macquarie's specifications around the Governor's Demesne between 1812 and 1816 to protect both the Governor's privacy and the enclosed farms and gardens. The remaining portion runs through the eastern side of the garden between the Middle and Lower Gardens, from the watercourse up to Lion Gate Lodge at Mrs Macquarie's Road.

Main Western Line

Extension of the suburban western line from Sydney to western New South Wales, with the line running to Bourke in the far west via the Blue Mountains and Bathurst. Also known as the Great Western Railway, the first extension of the line from Parramatta to Blacktown was completed in 1860, and then from Blacktown to Penrith in 1863. The extension beyond Penrith began in 1867 and was completed at Bourke in 1885.

Iron paddle steamer of 231 feet which was wrecked in 1898 on East Reef near Broken Bay. Of the 63 aboard 24 died, several as the rescue line broke.

Theatre in Newtown built in 1917 by builders Elder and Totterdell, for the Brennan family who also owned the rest of the block. It was leased to Sir Benjamin & John Fuller who produced variety and melodrama shows there until around 1953. In 1955 it became the home of Australia's first national theatre company, the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust. The building was destroyed by fire in 1980.

Major Lee

Fisherman and local identity who lived on the Wentworth estate in a hut at Parsley Bay. He would go outside the heads to fish, catching lobster in Broken Bay, and sell his catch at Circular Quay. In February 1857, he and other fishermen caught a 15ft (4.5m) long shark 'Big Ben' off South Head which was then exhibited at Circular Quay. Described as a 'fighting man', Lee was a participant in Sydney's early boxing scene in the 1830s and 1840s, He was rumoured to have come from a wealthy family and come to Australia after killing a police constable in Dublin.
